Deal Me In Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 8, 2026

Deal Me In is a card game for Meta Quest made by Holmes Computer Consultants ("we" or "us"). This policy explains what information the game uses, why it uses it, and the choices you have.

What we use and why

InformationWhere it comes fromWhy we use it
Your Meta user ID and display nameMeta, when the game starts on your headset, along with the check that your copy is genuineOnly at online tables: to show your name on a card in front of your seat, load your Meta avatar on the other players' headsets, send and accept invites, and offer you your seat back when a saved game continues. The other players' headsets at your table, and anyone watching it, receive them for this. If you watch a table, the people there see your display name. At a public table, the people there are players you may not know.
Your account's age groupMeta's age category for your account (adult, teen or child), read when the game starts and kept on your headset with the date it was readOnly to keep public tables to adults. Nothing else in the game depends on it, and it isn't shared with anyone.
The people you've blockedMeta's blocked list for your account, read when the game starts and when you open the Players pageSo the game never seats you at a public table with someone you've blocked, and so a table you host turns them away. The game keeps only a short one-way code for each person (a "block key"), never their ID.
A block key for youWorked out from your Meta user IDOnline, the other headsets at your table, and a public table's listing, carry this code for each person seated, so a player who has blocked you can be kept from your table without anyone's ID being published. It can't be turned back into your ID.
Your Meta avatarMeta, when you play onlineSo the other players at your table can see you
That you're at a table, and whether it has a free seatThe game tells Meta while you're at an online tableSo your Meta friends can see you're playing and join you through Meta's invites
A random player IDUnity, when you play onlineTo connect you to a table and to voice chat, and to reconnect you if your connection drops. Unity doesn't link it to your name.
Your voiceYour microphone, only while you're at an online table and not mutedSo the other players at your table can hear you, live. If you watch a table, other spectators hear you, and players only if they turn on Hear spectators. If you coach a player, only that player hears you.
That you're watching or coachingThe game, when you join a table to watch or coachSo the table can show you as a dimmed figure at a corner, or at the shoulder of the player you coach, and so that player's card can say who coaches them. A coach sees that one player's cards, and only after the player accepts.
Your head and hand movementsYour headsetTo let you play, and online, to move your avatar for the other players at your table. Online, your table also sees when your hands stop being tracked, so nobody waits on you without knowing why.
Your moves in each gameThe gameTo run the game, save it and continue it later
Your table's positionYour headset's room setup, if you allow itTo place the cards on your real table. Online, its position relative to your avatar is shared with your table so your avatar lines up with the cards. The room scan itself stays on your headset.
Your settings and lesson progressYouTo remember your choices, such as left-handed play or Gran Maggie's coaching, which lessons you've finished, and that you've seen the welcome. They stay on your headset.
Your statsThe game, at the end of each game you finishYour record of games played and won, euchres, loners and marches, shown on the Stats page. Each headset counts its own player's game from what it shows, so no stats are sent anywhere. They stay on your headset.
Your favourite playersYou, from the Players pageA list of the people you add, with their Meta user ID, name and the date you added them, so you can find them again and invite them first. It stays on your headset.
Your achievementsThe game, when you earn oneTo unlock it in Meta's achievements, and the card backs and felts it unlocks in the game.
What you say while it's your turn to call, if you turn on voice commandsYour microphoneOnly with Voice commands turned on, and only while it's your turn to call trump: your speech goes to Meta's Wit.ai service to be turned into text, so the game can hear "pass" or "pick it up". Nothing is sent at any other time, and we keep none of it.

We don't sell your information, show you ads, or use your information to track you across other apps.

Public tables

Play Online is for adults only: Meta's age category for your account must say you're 18 or over. At a public table you play with other players from all over, who see your display name and avatar and hear your voice, as at a friends table. Public tables have no spectators or coaching, and they're never saved.

Blocking and reporting

Blocking uses Meta's own block. Someone you block is silenced for you and you for them at once, can't stay at a table you host, and is never matched with you at a public table again. Neither of you is told who blocked whom.

To report a player, press the Meta button, choose Report and pick them there. Meta's form sends your report to us by email. We use it only to deal with the report.

Voice commands

Voice commands are off unless you turn them on, and the game asks first. While they're on, and only while it's your turn to call trump, what you say goes to Meta's Wit.ai service to be turned into text, under Meta's terms. Nothing is sent at any other time, and we keep none of it. Voice commands need a connection. You can turn them off at any time in Settings.

Voice chat

Voice chat is provided by Vivox, part of Unity. Your voice is sent live to the other players at your table. We don't record or store it. You can mute yourself or any other player at any time, and you can play without allowing the microphone.

Spectators are heard by each other, and by a player only if that player turns on Hear spectators, which is off unless they choose it. A friend coaching a player talks on a voice channel of its own that only that player hears; the coach still hears the table.

Coaching

Gran Maggie, the game's coach, works out her advice on your own headset from the cards your headset already shows you. Your cards aren't sent anywhere for it. At a friends table, the other players see "Coached by Gran Maggie" on your name card while she coaches you.

A friend can ask to coach you while they watch your table. Only if you accept do they see your cards, and only yours, until either of you stops coaching or one of you leaves. Your name card says who coaches you.

This website

This website, euchregame.ca, has no ads, no analytics and no cookies. It remembers whether you chose light or dark pages, in your own browser, and that choice never leaves it. If you send one of its forms, the privacy request form below or the contact form, it saves what you send, as described under "Contact us". Render, which hosts the website, keeps the technical logs of page requests that web hosts keep, such as the network address a request came from.

Who else handles information

CompanyWhat it does for us
Meta PlatformsAccounts, friends, invites and showing friends you're at a table, avatars, the check that your copy is genuine, your account's age category, blocking and friend requests, the report form and its emails to us, achievements, turning your speech into text for voice commands (Wit.ai) if you turn them on, and cloud backup of the app's data
Unity TechnologiesA random player ID through anonymous sign-in, connecting players to a table and its join code, listing public tables (with the block keys and number of people at each), and voice chat through Vivox
SupabaseReceiving and storing what you send through this website's forms, in Canada

These companies handle information under their own privacy policies.

Saved games

Saved games are kept on the headset of the player who hosted the table, together with the names and Meta user IDs of the people who sat there, so the game can continue later. Meta may back them up to the cloud with the rest of the app's data. Deleting a saved game or uninstalling the app removes them from that headset.

Problem reports

If you choose Report a problem in the game, it saves a report on your headset: the game's version, its recent technical log lines and, only if you choose to include the game, its card moves (when you play solo or host the table) or the messages your headset received from the host (when you joined someone else's table, which include the other players' display names). It never includes your voice. The game doesn't send reports anywhere. To share one with us, connect the headset to a computer by USB, copy the file from its Reports folder, and write to us through the contact form on this website. We'll reply by email with a way to send it.

Children

Deal Me In is for teens and adults (13 and over), as we tell Meta. Players under 18 can play against AI players and with friends they're connected with on Meta, under Meta's parental supervision tools, and earn every achievement. Public tables, with players they don't know, are for adults only, and the game hides them unless Meta's age category for the account says the player is 18 or over.

Keeping information safe

Online play uses Unity Relay's encrypted (DTLS) connections. Information on your headset is protected by your Meta account and the headset's own security. This website is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and what its forms save can be read only by us.

Changes

We'll update this page when the game changes what it uses, and change the date at the top.

Contact us

To ask a question about this policy, see what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, use the form below. For anything else about the game, use the contact form. We'll reply by email. We don't publish an email address, so the forms are the way to reach us.

When you send either form, this website saves your name if you give it, your email address, your Meta username if you give it, what your message is about, your message, the page you sent it from, and the network address it came from, which we use only to stop abuse of the forms. We use them only to answer you, and we delete them two years after you send them.

This policy covers the Deal Me In game and this website.
